Yu has a lumpy head, thanks for various baluku from hitting his head :(
He first fell when he was eight months old but no baluku then. I remember he fell off about once every month after that for a few months! 😱😱😱
I have records of him rolling off my bed on 18 Dec and 17 Jan. Should be 2017 and 2018 respectively...
For the 18 Dec 2017 one, I wrote:
In my daze, I let him fall asleep on the edge with my arm around him. But my arm went to sleep too and he fell! I felt the movement and caught him by the hand. He landed on his face :( But seemed ok coz he cried for two seconds until I stuffed a boob in his mouth.
The next night, I put him in the middle of the bed. Then he fell off the other side!! He was facing up when I got to him. I was so pissed with myself. He cried more this time.
Those falls in infancy didn't result in any baluku. His lumpy head lumps started from about 2020. Saw from this post that it was before September 2020, i.e. he was only 3yo ++ :( He fell off his scooter coz the ground was wet and a blueberry popped up on the left side of his head. That same year, he fell again but no baluku.
The following year, he fell in school and hurt his head very near the 2020 baluku. So he had twin balukus on the left of his head *.*
These two balukus remained for a very long time... After subsiding, the head still felt uneven there, very sad :(
Then in December 2023, he bumped his head on that side again! Not a fall but it caused the balukus to swell up and even bled lightly. We brought him to the doctor who said that it looked like an infection.
So sometimes, I discovered blood stains on his pillow. But I found that the swelling reduced after a light bleeding. So maybe there's some blood pooling near the surface of the skin, causing the lump and bleeding when agitated.
I remember DC telling me how her daughter bumped her forehead hard on a bed frame when she was a toddler and the doctor told them to just wait for it to go away. It did go away but it took a long time...
Then just when I thought those two balukus were almost done, having subsided and his head also grown bigger, he got another baluku at the back of his head from falling at the playground in March 2025! Same thing, subside and swell, subside and swell.

At a haircut early this year, it was swollen and grazed by the razor. It hurt Yu :( And his pillow had blood stains for a couple of days. But then it subsided again.
Those baluku spots are now way flatter but looking red and bald. A few weeks back, he asked if hair would ever grow there :( I doubt so :( He also has a cut on the scalp above his forehead on the right - also no hair there :(
I keep telling them to be careful at the playground etc but all seems to fall on deaf ears. Even when walking around, they often shove and play. Cannot keep their hands off each other!
But almost 10yo right? Right but the lumps are still waiting for their chance - Yu had a new baluku on Tuesday 12 May. He was playing with his friends before E2K maths in school and fell. But how the hell do you fall on your back like that?! Argh!
Really heart pain for this boy.
This latest bump subsided quite quickly though. Now there's only a red circle on the scalp, no bump.
But please, no more balukus!
