Weeknight adventure! (And a bit more today..)

We decided to bring the kids out yesterday to see the Christmas lights at Orchard :)

Took the bridge route coz it was drizzling - these two can't stop chatting about Zelda!

Yang discovered me taking photos of them :)

The seatbelt was too short! I didn't lengthen it for him :p

A quiet moment on the bus

Another quiet moment when he changed seats

We had wanted to go to Ding Tai Fung at Paragon but it was still drizzling when we got off the bus so instead of braving the rain, we took the underpass to Wisma. There's a DTF there too but if it's crowded, there're fewer other options in Wisma... But as luck would have it, we saw Taste Paradise on the escalator up! And it was not crowded at all! Same kind of food - pass!

Kai and Yang had pork chop fried rice. Yang and Yu had plain noodles. Yang fed Kai a spoonful of noodles :) Yang didn't like the dumplings which he used to like :( Yu had some six xiaolongbao?! Yang saw and tried one. Then we had to order one more bowl of plain noodles coz Yu wanted more. When the noodles came, Yang also wanted some. They ate a lot!!!

I bit off the tops for him to drink the soup and eat the xlb; Yang tried it and was amazed he could suck up the soup!! :p

亲亲的我的宝贝 :)

Thanks, babe - you may return to Papa now...

Yu looks so small!

They were carrying each other...

They found mannequins just like them, hoho!

Since it was still bright after dinner, we decided to go to Bata at Taka to get school shoes for the elder two. Took some time getting - must pass by bubble tea, ice cream, whole stretch of Ngee Ann City, toys at Taka... But we managed to get four pairs of shoes, yeah! Just sorted them out and labelled them this morning.

Tried to find ice cream in Taka but no deal. We thought we would go see the lights first. But when we stepped out of the mall, we found that it was still drizzling! I thought we could only see the lights from afar when Yang decided that the rain wasn't heavy and he wanted to go to the fountain.

And lucky we did, for we found ice cream bikes! So the boys got their first ice cream from such a bike. Chocolate for the big ones and strawberry for the small one. They loved it!

Must do some superhero pose...

Must take pictures with the lights!

No cones, so gave them cups

Sito and I must take picture too :)

I like the blue lights :)

No tree in Taka this year but we passed by this with a moving train outside Wisma

On the taxi home, Yang almost fell asleep. Managed to keep him up and we talked about the hawker centre as we passed by. It was past 9 pm when the last boy climbed into bed - Yang took some time to try to poop! They were tired and fell asleep soon...

Happiness continued this morning when I brought them out for breakfast! It was past 7.30 am by the time we left the house. I jumped at the chance to go to Hainan Treasures downstairs - no queue and I was afraid we couldn't get seats at Yakun anymore. Got them each some toast and iced milo while I had a coffee. Then they wanted more toast so I bought three more plates. Of course three things happened:

1) Kai found himself getting full but he decided he could finish it coz the butter was so good!
2) Yang couldn't finish his second plate - expected!
3) Yu couldn't finish his first plate - not expected!!

So I had one plate and two half plates *.*

Digging in!

"It's so fat!"

Must pose with food showing from his mouth *.*

Happy with the butter

The toast indeed had lots of butter and kaya! I think I prefer this to Yakun already :) The seats were also a lot more comfortable. Hope to go back again!
