New toys!

Sito picked up a coupon at Toy R Us!

It's a Devastator!

For himself!

Sito transformed four and I two - it turned out to be very fun!

The finished product

I fell asleep as Sito started assembling the Devastator. He left the thing on the desk and ZK wanted to play with it the next morning. Of course I said no! When Sito dismantled the Devastator - properly gonna display it in our new place next time - and turned the robots into trucks again, we let ZK have two of them to play for a while.

So pleased!

Teaching his elder son how to transform the truck - think he used a cement truck which was easier.

I put everything back in the box this morning *.* But we opened up another toy - got it online when I bought some water bottle carriers for the kids (and me - cos they are really cute!).

Basketball set!

The kids played with it for maybe five minutes? Both got the ball in at some point :) Then ZK got hungry so Sito had a few throws as well. The thing is a little too wobbly though - need to fill the base with water but that could get messy so we let it remain wobbly!

The best play is still outdoor play. After lunch at Mum's place, ZY made a beeline for the swing. Last time, ZK would guai guai take the corridor route as directed *.* But anyway, they had fun!

猴吔!

Happy Money Year! Cos my phone auto-corrected me but it's auspicious, right?? :)

This year, we had three reunion dinners. The first was with Mum et al the day we went to USS as Ah Yee would be away the weekend before LNY. The second was at Mum's place and the third at Mother's place.

His first angbao of the year after dinner

And notice his monkey shirt? It's a hand-me-down but very 应景 :)

We managed to sit together to eat at Mother's place. In fact, ZK must be the first to be seated! I prepared the kids' bowl before we got them in from the living room, and the whole process was generally quite successful with ZK seated almost the entire time and with ZY sitting me on for the first few mouthfuls.

Papa says I must have some more rice before I can have another (piece of) chicken (which was in fact prawn)

The spring rolls were my special request. The prawn balls are a staple - either that or fried wantan. The chicken curry is a staple as well, even though they no longer 拜拜 at home so there was no need to buy a chicken. The soup was simplified from steamboat and the vege was a necessity. The salmon is a relatively new addition to the menu, and for the kids too. The eggs are for the kids too cos ZK started out eating nothing but eggs *.* Oh, and the extendable table and all the glass plates are probably older than me!

I want to move chairs!!!

And finally it was 大年初一!As usual, the kids were up early but we were also going out early today.

Some painting to occupy time very early in the morning

Clan Sito before we left the house!

I had planned to arrive at Mother's place by 10.30 am to catch Thomas on TV but ZY had to take a short nap so we arrived closer to 11 am. But ZK didn't complain - he just sat there and watched the movie until it ended at 11.45 am!

On the other hand, our little ZY was very busy...

Mama asked me to give Papa goodies...

I want to make 高高! (and then try to blow it down)

Curious at DuaGu's place

Fire crackers, you say?

Lunch was the usual steamboat except that everything had been cooked so it was a matter of heating it up in the soup. The yusheng was the standard - as in standard for us haha!

Prawns instead of fish

Almost all of us!

These two really had fun while ZK was sleeping!

Apparently, he took it out of the fridge when someone opened it...

He put on ZK's bag and was raring to go...where?

Wherever A-jiejie is going!

Let's wake GeGe!

Happily balancing our wet tissue pack and roaming the living room

We stayed there for longer than usual, since ZY took a morning nap and ZK took his afternoon nap there. Managed to catch up a bit more with the relatives. Even had a brief first conversation with Yan's niece, J, who turns eight this year - she's in my old primary school!

Only wished that more kids were present - LY was on holiday and WT is still in Canada. Our generation of 15 cousins produced only six kids so far and only A and J are first cousins. Granted, a few of us are barely out of school but wouldn't it be nice for the next generation of second cousins to grow up and play together like we did? :)

AhYee asked us to stay for dinner (yummy!) but Sito wasn't keen (sighs!) so we went back before dinner. ZY fell asleep on the way home but woke in time for dinner, which cost 50% more from the coffeeshop downstairs. But we were already glad it was opened!

As usual, I googled for "what to do on chu er" only to turn up...nothing! Decided against River Hongbao cos it would be hot so we decided to go to a toy shop!

My cute boys in the same outfit!

ZK was smiling so sweetly - 阳光男孩! And ZY was cute even though he was giving a non-smiling cheese! Can you see Sito's eyebrows in ZY and mine in ZK? :)

Anyway, both fell asleep on the bus, and as luck would have it, ZK was on me. So we carried them both for some 30 minutes until my arms threatened to quit. Then Sito took both for a few seconds so that we could swop. But ZY the lighter sleeper woke. Ah well. Time for lunch!

We went to Paradise at Suntec where ZK had a lot of pork ribs again! ZY had his fair share of noodles too :) Fatten up, my boys!

As we walked into Toy R Us, ZY said "poo poo" and when I thought he wanted to sit somewhere to poo, I smelled poo! He was telling me he had done it! Good job! We dashed off to change and what a lot of poo he had!

ZY can also recognise that he was trying to poop here

We left without getting anything as the toys we wanted were not available. The next time Sito and I went to another shop, there wasn't any too. Probably have to order online...

Brought them to the playground downstairs for a while before coming back for an early dinner. And then, it was back to the grind!

The kids had LNY fun in school too.

All dressed up for the celebration - ZK was wearing his own concert gear from 2014 and ZY wearing ZK's hand-me-down

Last Saturday, I took ZK with me to my annual NPS gathering at LNY. Was trying to park when Mr C asked me to swerve round to the front of his house. I couldn't - this must be the first time I tried to parallel park without an instructor next to me *.* So he took the wheel for me. When he looked back to reverse, he found a stunned ZK staring at him, like, who's this person driving me away?! He told me he looked scared so I waved to him from outside the car. Oops.. But he was fine after that, running around and messing things up when he ate his lunch and the various snacks *.* I think it would have to be ZY next year...

So I guess that's about it for this LNY. Two more gatherings this weekend but the further from 初一, the less "feel" there is...

Kids' day out at USS

Oh yes, we went to Universal Studios on Sunday!

The poor boy woke at 5 am and dozed off at 10 am. We let him sleep in the stroller in case he didn't wake in time for us to leave the house :p But he did and we changed into nice clothes for phototaking.

Fat sleeping baby

Met Yan for lunch at Putien@Vivocity first. It was quite a leisurely lunch cos we brought N along so we had enough hands to take care of the kids.

ZY ate the watermelon that came with his bowl (ZK rejected his)

Little clan!

Showed ZK a couple of videos of Bumblebee that morning and he fell in love with yet another robot

Photo op with our do rae mi!

Close up! A wasn't paying attention; ZK wasn't looking the right way; ZY posed!

I like to move it move it!

On the front row of the Madagascar boat ride - ZY could join in too!

ZK was curiously looking around in the dark. ZY's expression was unfathomable... Next was the merry-go-round. The kids were no stranger.

Of course my 小马哥 is on the 斑马 :)

And ZK was on Alex, looking tiny, awww...

I just came out of ZK's bed, telling him about Alex the lion at USS. "But Alex is a people!" Um... He didn't get that Alex is a name...

Papa roaring!! And ZY roared after the photo was taken *.*

We were trying to take a dinosaur ride, the one that goes round and round and up and down. But it started raining while we were in a good position in the queue. S was in the queue of a more exciting ride just next to us so he was dry. N didn't want to ride this so she was at the strollers at the waiting area. Lucky she knew where the umbrellas were kept!

The ride was still open to crazy people with/without ponchos who wanted to ride in the rain. Anyway, think they closed it after a while so we left the short queue. Oh, and ZK fell asleep on Sito already. Our stroller was dry as N covered it with the rain cover so we put him in there with a towel to support his head cos he was too long already. But A's stroller was soaked despite the umbrella over it.

Our sleepyhead - already too big to lie down in the stroller

We ended up waiting at the food court across to sit out the rain. The two younger ones shared a croissant and biscuits. And I remembered to change ZY's diaper...

Look here, babies!

Let's just focus on the snack...

S joined us when he finished his ride. It has stopped raining so we went back to try the same ride. But when it was going to be our turn, they closed it due to weather though it wasn't raining!! And then it was ZY's turn to doze off on me. So I left the queue.

Somehow, the rest left the queue too but rejoined it when they reopened the ride. This time, I stayed outside with N and S since ZY was in the stroller now. And then it started raining AGAIN!!! ZK was having his milk after half a churro, and had a little accident when he got some milk in his nose cos Sito lifted him off his shoulder. I went over to him to comfort him and he broke into tears - poor boy! Must still be drowsy from his nap...

Anyway, we were not fated to take this ride la. ZK wanted to pee so Sito and I brought him to the toilet at the foodcourt. Then we came back to get the rest and we left to watch the Shrek show. I decided to stay out with ZY since I'd watched it twice - once in Japan and once in USS with Sito. In a way, I was glad he was sleeping too cos I was worried if he would be affected by the strobe lighting due to his recent seizure.

But I barely parked the two strollers properly and packed the umbrellas when it started to pour real hard! Lucky we decided to give up that outdoor ride! And then the boy woke. He was still drowsy from his nap and didn't make much noise though he made some funny faces...

Piggy face!

What you looking? Hur? Hur hur??

But finally he acknowledged a mobility device by calling it a bike. After a long while, I decided to take a walk in the Shrek souvenir shop.

With Donkey!

That was about when the show was done and they came out. I managed to catch them and that was where we said our goodbyes to Yan they all as we had to start leaving for dinner. The kids didn't really interact much but it was fun watching them :)

We went into two other souvenir shops and eventually got ZK a Minion cap and both boys a spherical cylinder with a coin slot and a key chain (of sorts) inside. The "balls" kept them occupied for a while and we didn't open them until dinner time.

The queue for the Sentosa Express was 45-minute long so we decided to walk instead. Along the way, ZY finally pooped! Yeah! But that meant we would be even later for dinner...

Dinner place turned out to be right at the end of the board walk so we went the family on our approach. We sent ZK in and then split up to send N to the MRT with the stroller - cos the car could not fit everyone and the stroller - and change ZY's diaper. No prize for guessing who did which *.*

We had to wait for another toddler to change her diaper before it was our turn. ZY was thankfully cooperative, thanks to the "ball"! We took some time but ended up trailing Sito into the restaurant.

ZK 捞鱼生 for the first time! :)

And ZY had beetroot juice

And so that was our day at USS. Not too crowded (cos of weather forecast and the weather?), not too hot after a while (cos of the rain). Hope to go back when the kids are older :)
