For someone like me, I guess I have to swear by 缘分. I can't recall what prompted me to bite the bullet and make the "life threatening" decision. Somehow it just felt right. Well, I suppose being in Amsterdam helps. Anyway, if you aren't shopping for a partner and is willing to put in the effort to nurture the relationship, I choose to believe that everything will fall into place and anything can be worked out.
