A tale of two weekends

Super lame title but it's just a list of mundane things we do :)

I missed writing about last weekend coz I was tired. That was the weekend when Christmas came to BP!

Santa and Frosty!

The next time we passed by, Santa had disappeared! But it's ok - there are others lining the outdoor space on the other side of the mall, where there's also a pasar malam! Gosh, that was really nice after years of no pasar malam at HV!

We did a street food half-dinner just this Friday - to make up for insufficient street food in Taiwan??

The rest of our weekends was just consumed with kiddy stuff. And we did have some really cute and sweet moments :)

Sito caught Yu whispering something to me - I couldn't understand a thing and just said, is that so? And he said yes :)

Clapping over thousands of collapsing dominoes!

Last weekend, I finally whipped out the bubble solution I bought from Daiso months ago. Digression: I haven't been to Daiso for at least three months! The bubble solution was really good, and the sticks didn't break, unlike some from various goodie bags in the past.

"Let's blow bubbles at Papa!"

I was counter-balancing Sito - the joy of eye-power

Yang blew bubbles onto the grass and examined them...

Kai was happily whizzing about on his scooter while holding up his bubble stick to let the bubbles fly with the wind. But at one point, the wind was so strong that he only had to take the stick out of the bottle and all the bubbles flew away! There was a funny shot of him where he was just holding the stick and staring grouchily at the flying bubbles out of the corner of his eyes! That was too small to show here though..

Dinner after bubbles was rough. Kai and Yu were interested in eating and were running about.

But they were also sweet :)

Yang ate a lot of mixed rice - with sweet and sour pork and eggs, no less

Kai made many little trucks with a random bit of blu-tack

My boys having fun with tic tac toe in bed

I should complain - Kai went to Sito asking, "Papa, do you have some time to play tic tac toe with me?" So nice right? He usually came to me saying, "Mama, play tic tac toe with me!" Why the difference in treatment?! Grrr...

Yu can kick very well!

As usual, he went up 15-20 min before his brothers' lesson ended - divide and conquer!

Happy with sweet potato ball while waiting for his vaccination

Yang also had his meningitis shot - delayed until he's out of the woods re febrile fits!

But he developed a sore ("painful") red swelling by the next evening!

"I have muscles!" *.*

The area seemed to have grown by the next morning so I brought him back to the PD, which was thankfully open on Saturday mornings. He didn't feel any pus but acknowledged the large area - almost half his arm! And it felt hot and a bit stiff. So he gave him some antibiotics just in case.

This boy helped himself to the last Cornetto in the freezer when everyone else's back was turned!

Too pleased with himself!

Christmas activities also started in the mall! We headed downstairs to play before heading out but encountered an auntie who complained to the staff about Kai getting a present even though he got only one hoop through - think her kid got a present despite getting multiple hoops through. Minutes later, we saw her still talking to the staff who seemed to have brought the management down to deal with her! How ridiculous to 计较 with a kid!

Yang got a Santa collar pin for bowling

Kai got a post-it pad for this game - he didn't care for it *.*

Yu got a packet of cute erasers for golfing

And we were in a snow globe which could take only four persons!

Yu joined in the workout and even ran forward to hi-five with the leads! :)

Then we took the LRT to CCK to tranfer to the MRT to Jurong East. Went to NTUC Xtra to look for bikes. They tried a few. We kind of got the height they needed. But we didn't buy coz there were no new pieces - the display pieces were falling apart! Anyway, it was hard with three of them around. We just had dinner and took a taxi home.

The brothers were talking about falling off, whether the thing in front was an LRT or bus etc...

This morning, I made three balls of play dough for them!

Kai made many things, including a replica of 葱油饼 which he made in Taiwan!

Yang made a cave and Olaf!

We made a snowman here and also 小笼包!

It was cold to go to the pool but the it didn't matter to the kids - they just jumped in! We thought Kai and Yang could focus better in their lesson if we were not around so we brought Yu elsewhere.

Learning how to get down from the steps

Getting from pool to pool in slippers :)

Today marked another milestone in Yu's potty training journey - he made the trip home wearing his underwear instead of diapers! Mainly, it was because he refused to change out of his underwear...

He did a good poop at Mum's place, yeah!

I was so lucky to have caught him making a face and reminded him that he was wearing underwear, not diapers, and rushed him to the toilet!! I would really hate to wash poop off his underwear!

The kids have been sleeping pretty late the past two weeks. So it was a surprise when Yu fell asleep before 9 pm just now even though he napped over two hours today and woke near 4 pm! Sleep begets sleep?? Sleep well, my babies. Find me no earlier than 6 am!
